There are several very common skin infections that you should be aware of. Bacteria live on the surface of your skin harmlessly until there is an opening on the skin caused by a cut, scrape, dry skin or other open wound like burns.
Skin Infection Types
There are four different types of skin infections bacterial, fungal, viral and parasitic. Bacterial infections include cellulitis, folliculitis, boils and carbuncles, staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome and other minor bacterial skin infections.
Our skin is the largest organ of our body. It is no wonder that caring for it requires so much of our time. There are many things that irritate our skin including bug bites and skin infections.
